Investment in new die casting plant and robot automation has played a major role in the recent growth of JH Lavender. An investment of £6 million in plant & equipment since 2012 has enabled the company to develop a much wider range of products and provide many more technical solutions to a more diverse customer base.

A key element of the £6 million investment in recent years has been the commitment to the growth of CNC machining and assembly capabilities. In direct response to customer demand, JHL secured investment for multiple Fanuc Robodrill CNC machining cells in addition to numerous new Mazak horizontal lathes. Our flexible machining operations now offer our customers both vertical and horizontal machining capacity using a combination of 4th and 5th axis technology.

In order to accommodate these significant changes, we are nearing completion on our brand new CNC machine shop. This commitment signifies our intent for the future of the business which will be based upon the foundations of supplying fully finished products to all our customers.

“The company is now in a very strong position as we have a solid foundation to support our continued growth and expansion into our 101st year of manufacturing. Our first target is the completion of our new machining facility due by the end of Quarter 1 2018. This brand new bespoke facility will be dedicated to the machining and assembly of high integrity parts primarily for the automotive market. The new facility will provide additional capacity to allow us to expand our operations with both existing and new customers alike. “We have everything the automotive industry needs skills, quality systems, engineering expertise, technical support and the facilities to back it all up.
For us 2018 is set to be a year of exciting opportunity.”
